5 Creative Ways Local Businesses Provide Enjoyment During the Spring Holidays

With daylight saving time in full effect, longer and brighter days bring life back into nature and happier and healthier people. Need an excuse to spend more time outside? Read on to find out what local artists are offering the community during the spring holidays this year.

Mobile Paint Events

Following Easter Sunday Service, consider engaging eight or more children in a Paint Your Pet event with Art with Hope’s mobile studio—available within one hour of travel from Warren, Oregon.

Hope believes in supporting the community and says, “10% of all Paint Your Pet events go to the Columbia Humane Society.” She can travel to people’s homes, restaurants, or other places, and accommodate up to 80 painters.

Paint and Sip Events

During April, Art with Hope also offers affordable Paint and Sip events at local taverns and pubs for people looking to enjoy an evening out to paint, socialize, eat, and sip with family and friends. Paint supplies and a 16″ by 20″ canvas will be provided. There are also virtual paint events for those who want to stay home.

Gathering of the Guilds Exhibition

From Friday, April 28 to Sunday, April 30, Kory and Rachel from Marvelous Mosaic Fine Art will be featured artists at the Gathering of the Guilds exhibition located at the Oregon Convention Center. Admission to the show is free.

Kory decided to join the Gathering of the Guilds this year because it is a great opportunity for artists to share their work with the public. “We’ll be sharing a booth with four other artists and showcasing art for sale,” Kory says. She and Rachel will also provide live demonstrations of glass cutting and gluing mosaics, and host glass discussions around vitrigraph creation.

Mosaic and Fusion Classes

For all of May, Marvelous Mosaic Fine Art is offering a Mosaic and Fusion Class Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm for children over the age of five and their parents at the Ranier studio.
